An Open Thank You Letter
An Open Thank You Letter:
Brandi:
How does one say Thank You for what you did today? How do you say Thanks for capturing the perfect moments in your childs life? How can I tell you how much I apperciate your time, effort, and talent you put in the photo shot with Logan today?
The best way I know how, to spread the word. To tell all the people I know about you and what you do. Like I said, your photos are not just pictures, they are a moment in my sons life I will have to cherish forever, to share, and to continue to brag on you. You capture the raw emotion of the moment, the smile, the gleem in the eye, and the feeling surrounding every shot. It was so great to see that side of my son thru someone else's eyes, the candid shots of him being him are great!
Thanks so much for everything...and to think I have not even gotten the disk yet....what am I going to have to say then???

Whirlwind
So here goes..
What I Did on July 4th....by ME
So Ray had to work, and I knew this. So it will be Me and Logan making a day of it. First off the Arlington City Parade 46th Annual. It was great. I have been going with my brother and his in laws. It is a great time. They are super people. The parase last about 2 hrs, it starts at 9:00am, we were leaving by 11:10am. With in 15 minutes after the parade was over the traffic was all cleared out. It was great. So then time to come home....
Since Ray had to work, we got him up made burger and chicken on the grill, had lunch and then it was the best part of the day...NAP TIME!!!!! Logan and I slept until about 4:00pm.. So needed. See I am an early riser...but I am a nap lover too.
By 5:30 we are at Six Flags! Nik, Brandon & Mandi came in and went with us. We had an awesome time. Loggs is a little thrill seeker. The faster the bigger, the better. Althought he will ride the Cliffhanger 'Just one more time with Daddy'. If you don't know what that is this is it ...you set 4 people in a car, with a chest harness on, the car goes up 10 strories in the air....you can see far...moves out...click....2 seconds...and BAM...your ass is free falling....then you stop laying on your back, swing down..you are uprighted and off you go...I heard a little DAMN as we were going down...and I never remember how much I hate that ride until I am at the TOP!!!!
So the Ballpark in Arlington (Home of YOUR Texas Rangers) is right by Six Flags so we went to the parking lot to watch the fireworks...along with every-frickin-body else in the CITY!!!!! After the firewroks it took 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot. I was 4 lanes from the exit...Now lets just look at this...
City parade out in ten minutes...fireworks that include Six Flags and Ballpark triffic...45 minutes...and we are having the DAMN SUPERBOWL here in 4 years...Alrington better start spending a hell of a lot more money on roads and traffic control....
So I live about 4 miles from Six Flags...it took me 1 HOUR to get home....Now I now why the Green Acres people like the country so much!!!!!
So that was my 4th in a Nutshell...

Friends
Some times people come into your life at times and you don't know why! Then you have to question the situation...Am I suppose to know why?? The answer is easy NO!!!
When they come in you don't realize how much of an impact they will have on you or how much of an inpact you will have on them.
I recently realized just that. I am not going to mention any names, but this person will know who this is about...(Just the font color will tell that!!!! MUAH!!!)
About 2 yrs ago a met a friend who I was told 'is just like you' you NEVER want to hear that because the first thing you think, especially for a female is...personallity clash!!! But this was not and has never been that case. She has turned out to be just like the younger sister I never had. Because she is way younger and I am OLD!!!! Since we did discover that we are just alike it makes our relationship great. We talk everyday....in one way or the other. We enjoy each others company, share secrects, (20 yrs and red hair....you know), cry with each other, and share the good and the bad. Most of all we can tell it like it is, and don't have to worry about hurting each others feelings...it makes us respect each other more. She is one person I can be honest with, give her my view on things and she does not think I am trying to get in her business. She knows how to ground me just as much as I do her. I am grateful each day that she has come into my world...and when I am Queen of the World I will let her share the Throne with me....not the Corwn though....
Just remember when you meet new people there may be more than that you realize at first so don't over look the little things....

Being a MOM
Father's Day 2002, was a day that changed my life forever!!! (For the Best!!!!)
That was when I found out I was pregnant, going to be a MOM. I was so gald, but I wish I had half an idea at that time what kind of life was ahead for me...
January 27, 2003..regular perinantologist visit (if that can be regular), they said my Blood Pressure was up. Still to this day I dont think it was. They called my doc, he came to visit, and said 'Come see me Wednesday...1:30'. So I was there when he told me the good news!!! You are going to have a baby on Friday!!!! Ok....was not prepared for that, I still had 2 weeks.
So Friday Jan 31, it was time. In the hospital, got induced, and had a pretty easy labor & delivery....had issues after the fact, but nothing more drugs and an extra day on the L & D floor would not cure...At 3:39pm, I was officially a mom....With my wonderful husband at my side, we now had a little human. When he was handed to me all swaddled in a little blanket, there was this most powerful little 7 pound 11 ounce being that was going to have an impact like I never imagined!
Fast-forward to TODAY!!!!
4 years later....there has been more tears of joy than I ever thought I had in me, I have walked my floor more than a hundred miles consoling him at night or when he was sick, have slept less, and had so much excitement in my heart I thought it was going to explode. What makes the little men so much more pleasant than the big ones...Even in the morning their 'morning breath' smells better, they say I Love You umprompted....and more than once....their hugs have meaning....their kisses really are SWEET!! And as a woman as selfish as this will sound....You CAN train them wipe the seat AND put it down!!!! And when you are barely awake and laying in bed and you feel them crawl into bed and cuddle you ..... you KNOW that is all they want....
The road I am traveling has been traveled many times before and will be traveled many times when my journey has ended. I have not gotten very far, I can still see the Starting Line. But, I look forward to the journey that is ahead of me, all the good times and bad...after all he is MY son!!!
Being a Mom is so much more that I ever thought it would be, and I am more than Blessed to have the little Angel I have.....On that note, I need to thank Dad...he had a little to do with it.....

January 29, 2007....2 days before my boy turns 4!!!!
I can not believe it...5 years ago I never would have thought I would be a mom! But I am so glad I am; and I am glad I have a great husband who is a wonderful Daddy!
He is about 42 inches tall, and all boy! He has a smile that can give you warm fuzzies, his laugh is so contagious, and his sense of humor is so much fun! He is so antimated, so full of life, and when you least expect it he will take your heart and make it melt. Unexpectly he will come up to me hug me..and in his sweet little voice he will say...'I love you momma' He can walk into a room and be the center of attention and not even try. I do not want to sound like a bragging mom, but I am damn proud of my boy!
He has no fears, well maybe he does, of the snake at the Rainforest Cafe in GMM...Some of you know what I mean. He does not need a nightlight, there are no monsters under his bed, his Shadoe keeps them away, or maybe for the fact he thinks he is Superman/Batman/Spiderman.... the monsters know better than to mess with him. He runs the vacuum, puts his clothes in the hamper, picks his toys up, will wash dishes, and loves to cook scrambled eggs. He is a very well rounded kid.
He played T-Ball and is sure he wants to play football like his James & Christopher. He loves animals it does not matter it has feathers or fur. He likes to travel, and LOVES his music.
If you would have told me 4 years ago today, that I would have such a wonderful boy, I would not have believed you. I was scared to death that I would not be a good mom, I guess if I were not conscious of that, then I would not be where I am with him. He looked just like his dad the day he was born, and he adores his daddy so much! He & his James could pass for brothers, not just in looks either. I have never been jealous of the attention he receives, he has earned it! His dad and I could not be any more proud of him.
In 2 days he will be 4...only 19 months until he starts school, and at that point, I will be questioning again if I have led him down the right paths in life.
By looking at my page, you can see I am proud of my boy...more than words can explain...but as he grows older I know he will not be as dependant on me, or as needy of me. But I am fine with that, and I treasure every moment I have to hold him, rock him, sing to him, play his games, and most of all....the weekend mornings when he comes to our room climbs in bed with us....and laughes, plays and brings a huge ray of sunshine to our morning....
He is my everything, I would put my life on the line for him.....I love him with all my heart.

Almost Time
Merry Christmas to Everyone!
This is probably the best Christmas we will have with Logan this year. He is so in to Santa, and has NO doubts. He is full of the AWWW of the lights, decorations, and the presents. We have added about 10 minutes into our morning routine to look at all the presents under the tree.
But for those of you who are wondering. Yes, he has been told the other side of the story about Christmas. It is about Baby Jesus! And incase you are wondering, after he left the Manger, he lived in the jungle a while, then moved to Logan's heart. Out of the mouths of Babe's.
This is also the same kid that told Santa he was not going to make cookies for him and did NOT want Santa to come to his house, but incase anyone is wondering the gift of choice this year is a ..... Yellow present with a camera inside....and YES Santa is bringing it to him....The little brat*** even saw a picture of Santa holding a yellow present on an advertisement, so being the "Great Mother" I am, I will be sure to pass the info on to Santa to make sure he wraps the present in the proper fashion.
I will try to figure out how to do a slide show and put some Christmas pictures up next week.
Also, if Santa has a hard time finding his way to your house in the bad weather. Rudolph, (Logan's Stocking) is in time out, locked in a cabinet, because he would not stop singing so Logan could watch Frosty. I just hope Logan lets him out before Christmas Eve.....For All Our Sakes...
As always, thanks for reading my Blog....and Merry Christmas to all....
***I can call him a Brat since I made him that way!

Happy Frickin Holidays
Okay so how is this the start of some good holidays....
I went out this morning to get the Christmas stuff out of the shed. I know it is early but Logan is so excited. So as we went out there...I noticed that the boxes were there but SOME ONE HAD TAKEN OUR CHRISTMAS TREE!!!
How shitty is that? I was a prelit tree we just bought last year since it was smaller than the last one we had. But joke is on them...the top of the tree is in the stuff they left behind!!!! This is the most irrating thing that has happened, so far.
So now we have to find a new tree, yeah there is extra money for that....you just don't budget in buying a new FAKE Christmas tree 2 years in a row...and it is only $30 dollars but still!!!
So Logan and I went out looking for a new tree. And he found one, it is about 18 inches high, blue with blue lites that is what he wants. So I am sure that is what we will get for him. Afterall that is what Christmas is all about, is the little ones, being happy. Although it was hard explaining to a 3 year old that a bad person took his Christmas tree.
But if this is the only hard thing we will have to face this holiday season I guess it is a blessing.
Merry Christmas to all!!!!
