Just Call Me Forest....Forest Gump

Stupid is as Stupid Does!!!!!
That is all I am going to say about this weekend for me....I was so excited about having 3 days off...but I need another one to recoup.
I got the mother of all sunburns. There are pictures posted in My Photos.
I guess up kids never learn. But I think I may have. Ray had to get up at 2:00am to go get me vinegar....that is the only thing that has soothed it. Sleep...Cant do that. The back is worse than the legs look, and the heat that is coming off of this thing....I could cook a bird at 350 for 5-6 hrs with no problem.
Well the vinegar bath is calling...and I must rest for work tomorrow. AUGH!!!!!

New Tat!!!

I know it is not that big in size...but to me....it is really big.

I have wanted to do this for a while something with Logan's name on it. Ever since I lost the baby I decided I wanted to do this. I originally wanted a band of some sort, but I wanted to put it on my upper body instead of my lower body. So somewhere that it did not stand out was fine with me. It is on my back on the left shoulder blade. I saw some more of their work that I really like so I may be going back and getting another one....I may even be able to talk Ray into another one....But we will see.

Good News for Us!!!

Good News for US!!
For those of you who have known me for a while, you know that my beloved husband is a truckdriver. Well for the past 5+ years he has worked nightshift...Now when I say nightshift, I am not talking 4p-12p, I am talking a 12 hour shift from 3p-3a. So do the calculations, not a lot of family time, maybe 45 minutes in the morning before work and school, and then the weekends; if he has boht days off. He started back at this job 20 days before Logan was born, so this is the only schedule we have known.
Well on Wednesday the 26th he got put on Day Shift!!!! He goes in anywhere from 5-7a and is home by the time we get home in the evenings!! He is home for bathtime, dinner time, and bed time. This is so important to me for the fact that Logan is at a point where he really needs his daddy around him; and with school starting and he will be starting Football in the fall. This is just wonderful!!!
Oh yeah....He will still be of most all weekends, so that means family time on Saturday, and we care going to be able to get back in to the church!

Friday's Events

Friday’s Events
Well Friday the 7th was more like FRIDAY the 13th for me!!!
After much praying & push comes to shove we took Logan out of daycare! We were talking about it, but the decision was made much sooner for us. But that is another story.
So he will be staying with Nana, my MIL, through most of the summer until he starts school. So he was there Friday and I received a call at 4:50, he was screaming in the background. He was being a BOY jumping on the bed, with his cousin, and fell of the bed, hit the bedrail......and was in the Care Now clinic 35 minutes later!!! OH YEAH .....it took 3 of us to hold him down....and after 1/2 a bottle of topical numbbing solution he still had feeling in his head....he gets the hard head from his DAD!!
So for a boy being 5 I think a broke tooth, and 2 rounds of staples in the head is not bad!!! So we will get them out in a week....hopefully it will not take as many of us!!

Painful Thoughts & Feelings

So it has been about a month since I posted a blog, the last one was hard to post. So just an update....I am feeling fine, as a family we are doing great, physically I am fine, & mentally I am dealing with this all alot better.
I have found out some interesting things about my 'DR'....needless to say...I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO HIM.
He is the founder of The North Texas Church of Freethought.....take a look at the website....http://www.churchoffreethought.org/ find the section of the website titled Hannity & Colmes under the 'About Us' section
I understand that all people are entitled to their own opinion....but I guess while deciding what questions to ask your doctor...if it is important to you ask if he/she is a CHRISTIAN!!!!!!
I had my follow up appointment with him on Friday, (2/29) and found out this out afterwards. When he showed up at the office that day at 9:30am, his first appt got there at 8:30, he seemed very unorganized...anyways when he came in the room it was like it was his 1st time to see me....On my first appt after my miscarriage he offered me some antidepressants, I had never taken them and will never take them again. I emailed him 2 days after the appt, and told him about the adverse reaction to the pills and he said if I felt like I did not need them and was having the problems then I could stop taking them. Keep this in mind....so as he walked in the room he commented that I looked better and was glad the pills were working....HELLO I stopped taking them!!!! So as I reminded him about that he said...well if you need more just call us....So I was given Lexapro last time...wonder what he would give me this time....Then he went straight to getting my blood drawn and see ya later...oh yeah...am I allowed to partake in marital fun???? So I had to have him come back in the room to ask him that question...he said yes you have been on the pill for a month so it should be safe....My issue here 3 weeks ago he was talking about letting us know how long he would recommend me staying on the pill before trying again....he ended this with....See ya next year!!!!
Make better notes in your patients files. I will not be going back to this doctor, and would NOT recommend Timothy Gorski to any one!!!!

VERY IMPORTANT NEWS

VERY IMPORTANT NEWS!!!!!
This blog comes from me with a heavy heart!!! I want to say thanks to all of you for your thought and prayers.
On Friday night about midnight I woke up and was hemoraging pretty bad. I called my doctor office, but Dr Neil was on call, not my doctor so we made an executive decision. Ray and I went to the hospital about 1:00am. We were whisk away to an ER Room with in minutes of arriving. The ER Dr was great, once we got in the room, I continued to bleed, and the dr did a sonogram...He found a machine in the hall and brought it in and just did it. He said he was not a Sono Tech, but he had to do it. Once he was done, he stated he saw an empty sack. Then he turned to the nurse and told her to get ready for an exam.
He did an regular gyno exam to measure the amount of blood loss, at this point I realized that no matter how much preparing we had done over the week and a half it was completely different when the doctor started talking D & C.
So I guess I need to back up. Shortly after my inital appiontment on Jan 23, I started spotting, I saw the doctor the following Wednesday on Jan 30, we could not hear the heartbeat. We did not worry, he felt about 90% sure everything was fine, due to my 'extra padding' and not hearing Logan's until 16 weeks I was not worried either. Fast forward to Friday Feb 1, 2008.
Ray got a phone call at 10:30am he did not have to work that night, I was so glad. We went to Garland and picked up my nephew James and had dinner with him and Pete. I had some dicomfort, but just passed it off as sitting for so long, and wearing my jeans. We got home messed around with the boys and started getting ready for bed.
So back to the hospital, after the gyno exam a paramedic came in and started an IV...that is never good, ( Do you know the difference between a nurse and a paramedic??? The medic can do almost everything the dr can. See you do learn something new everyday!!) I asked for a drink and was told 'NO' that is not good either!!! So Lisa came up to the hospital she took the first shift at the hospital with Ray. A full Sonogram was ordered, and about 3:30am I was taken to an Ultrasound Room, and the tech started doing the sono....and 'I CAN'T TELL YOU ANYTHING SO DON'T ASK'...Those people really upset me!!!! So then she started doing an internal one....never had one...am not really looking forward to another one any time soon! Where Ray was sitting he could see the screen and did mention that he was not able to see anything on the internal one. By this time the bleeding had slowed down alot.
We got taken back to the ER and was put in a very nice room....ROOM 1...for once I was 1....the nurse and registration lady came in, it was about 4:30am and the doctor came back in. He said they had called in Dr Neil and that he had ordered a D & C. Now keep in mind Logan's 5th birthday party is 12 hours away!!! Dr Neil come in and he was super nice and supportive, he explained to me what was going to happend and I explained to him that I had to be at that party. We had a good understanding. I would be home by breakfast, and could go to the party as long as I got some rest, and did not do anything!
About 4:45am Ray and Lisa went outside to make phone calls, Ray called family, and Lisa called Holly, she was coming for the 2nd shift and to help get things going and settled in once we got home. About 5:15am, I was wheeled upstairs for surgery. It was about 5:30am, with Ray, Holly and Lisa saying their 'see ya in a bits'. The drug doctor came in explained to me what they were going to do as far as the medication. Other than on TV I had never seen the inside of an OR, it was kinda cool. I asked if I was going to have my eyes taped shut and he said 'Yes' he started to explain why, I looked back, and the next thing I knew Katrine the OR nurse was telling them not to put oven blankets on me...you know those HOT ones...the are warm...but i am too hot natured for that.
About 7:00am, Ray, Lisa & Holly were allowed to come into recovery. It was like the Twilight Zone....I was the only one there!!!! AUGH!!!! Dr Neil told Ray everything went great, and he gave Ray all the discharge directions. I was told as soon as I peed I could go home...so I had to go all of the sudden! I went to the bathroom, and was allowed to go. SO now the fun part getting dressed. I brought clean bottoms, but we had to catch Lisa on her way to the hospital to get me a shirt, my other one had blood all over it. So Ray is in the bathroom helping me get dressed, it took all had to not pass out. Anyone who know me knows I hate being down. So back in the wheel chair to my recovery area, to get some air and color back in my face!
Ray and Holly went to get the cars by the door, and Lisa went home to get some rest. As Dr Neil promised I was home before breakfast, Ray and Holly went and got Mickey D's. We talked to Logan and James when we got home. Thankfully Ray's sister Tina stayed at the house with the boys. We ate, and talked....it is very theraputic for me. Holly left with her instructions of what to do for the party, Tina was a Saint and took the boys, and about 10:00am, I upheld my end of the bargin and went to bed. We slept until about 1:00pm, and got up to get ready for the party. (See He is 5!!!! Blog)
So in a nutshell, God made the decision for us on this pregnancy! And we are fine with it, it does hurt and we are greiving and handling this as a family as we should. Like I said talking is theraputic for me!!! I don't want you to be sad for us. I want you to celebrate the blessings we have, each other, our son, our health, and our faith in God.
Thanks to everyone who lended a hand, and prayer and a heart in this time of need for us!

He is 5!!!

He made it to 5!!

We had a great birhtday party for him on Saturday Feb 2, I will have some pictures posted soon. There are some pictures taken at Sears we did on his birthday!

He is such a little gentleman!! We are so very proud of him. He is an awesome little man.
His cousin James stayed the night with him before his party, and he got to spend some time that day with James and Jared.

Lots of friends were at his party, we had a ratattouie cake, it was so cool, he gots lots of presents, but most of he was surrounded by the love of all of his friends and family!!!

As we have learned over the past 5 years, it really does take a village to raise them, and we are very graetful for the village we have!!!!

Love all of you for always being there for us!!!
