For those of you who may not know. I am the proud aunt of 10 nieces and nephews. Two of the boys, 17 & 9 are brothers, and both very athletic. They both play football, & run track, the oldest also does power lifting....and both are good in the classroom as well....So here is the deal. They have both played football since flag league,as had their older brother, and I recall running the field with all of them. Well do to distance and LIFE I do not get to attend as many games as I would like.
But this weekend was different, the oldest had a college scout come watch him play, althought his team did not win...he did play good, and that is what matters. I also go a chance to attend the youngest ones game. He has football in his heart...He was more than determined his team would win. Well they did not win either, but he scored the only points for them. The first was an 80 yard touchdown, as he was running the had the ball in his right hand and with his left he was pointing at the goal, a little cocky, then as he crossed the goal line, he did a flip, that was a personal foul for unsportsmanlike conduct...come freaking on, but then he turned right around and ran it back for another 60 yards,he did all the same, except for the fkip. I was in the stands with my sister, screaming & cheering him on....and crying!!! Yea I cried like a baby. As we were getting ready to leave, before the game was over, only because my boy was sick. As we were leaving he got the ball again, and ran it for about 40 yards, got tackled & was down on the field, but he was fine....just had his clock cleaned.
It was nice at the game, their was several family members there, and some of the football buddies of the oldest brother, one of which I have known since he was in the 2nd grade...they graduate this year. Things like this make me feel old.
I am proud of all my neices & nephews, they range from 20's to 6, and each of them have their own things they are good at, so I dont want anyone to think that I am singling out these 2....but I kinda am........
